Another New Year is upon us and as I did last year, I'd like to take a moment to reflect on the past year in preparation for looking forward to the next year.
2011 was a great year. There were, as always, ups and downs, but for the most part, I was really lucky to have such a great year.
So without further ado, here are my Best of 2011 Moments.
Looking back, it really was an exciting year. I made a lot of new friends and I think I accomplished a lot. 2012 will bring with it thesis writing, more world adventures, graduation, and job searching...perhaps the most daunting task of the coming year. It will also bring marathons, half-marathons and more PRs (hopefully!), crossing things off The List, living life to its absolute fullest and turning 25!
My New Year's Resolutions are simple: to (1) run strong, happy and injury-free (2) get a job upon graduating (3) move out of New York City (3) be spontaneous (as if I didn't do that enough already) (4) try new things (5) live happy.

Life is too short to be anything but happy.
How did your year shape up?
Are you making resolutions for the New Year?
Very nice! I like those goals. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou really did have a wonderful year!! Here's to an even better 2012 :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm soo glad you ordered your EC planner, I can't wait to see which one you got!! My sister ordered one for her and her sister in law for Christmas and they love them. They're really great :) And I'm sorry your New Years is turning out to be a bust...it really sucks when plans fall through so I feel your pain. I hope you end up enjoying it anyway!
Great goals! I'm so excited I was able to see you at least two and a half times this year! LOL! (That half time being the few seconds during MCM) You've accomplished so much this year in life, in running, in love! Cheers to 2012 and it being even more amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteYou had a fantastic year! I love that you travelled a lot, it's so great to do so when you can. I love your goals for next year, too. Happy almost new year!
ReplyDeletethese recaps make me all warm and fuzzy. I'm so glad I got to see you a few times!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on a great 2011! I'm still working on specifics for my New York trip, but it'll for sure be during the Brewers/Mets series. When I get more things figured out we'll work around your graduation and get to a game :) Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteOooh! Where will you move??? Here's to a wonderful 2012, Christy! :)
ReplyDeleteWow, you had a great year! I am mostly inspired by your athleticism. Me run = never! Hope you've got great plans for ringing in the new year. Happy 2012!
ReplyDeleteI'm bad at New Year's resolutions since my year is usually based around a school year! I like your goals though! I always go back and forth with NYC. I've been there 7.5 years now! Sometimes I think, "I have GOT to move some place else" and other times I think I can't live anywhere else. Currently, I'm in a "I must move" phase!
