If we were having coffee...I would tell you that I'm so happy it's Friday. This week has been exhausting. I still haven't written about my trip to Sundance but I'll tell you that we were out until 1 or 2 every morning and the first movies we saw were at 9am. Late nights and early mornings for sure!
I would tell you that I'm so excited to see The Pilot. I left last Thursday and he left on Sunday. We haven't seen each other in over a week and it's the longest we've been apart in a really long time. I'm used to him being gone for four days at a time but I miss him!
I would tell you that my friend Abby is the best. We're both running DC Rock 'n' Roll and live in the same neighborhood (ish) so we've done all of our training runs together. This week, I was completely exhausted and unmotivated but she gave me the kick in the pants I needed to get out the door and run. After our run on Tuesday, she even sent me home with pita chips, guacamole, brownie mix and a frozen smoothie for breakfast the next day. She's seriously the best.
If we were having coffee...I would tell you that we finally got our thank you cards out. I feel pretty bad about them being out this late but with starting a new job, being sick for almost all of October, moving, a death in the family, the holidays and then starting another new job, it just wasn't happening. Better late than never right?
I would tell you that I'm reading another Philippa Gregory book (as I said yesterday) and that historical fiction is such a guilty pleasure of mine. This last book in the series features the rise of Henry VIII. It's essentially a prequel to the series featuring The Other Boleyn Girl. I'll probably reread that series and start watching The Tudors when I finish this.
I would tell you that I finally won the battle with Peyton over the couch. Since we moved to our new place, it's been an endless struggle trying to keep her off the couch. After several attempts that resulted in a lot of frustration, we compromised this week. She seems pretty happy, I'd say.
If we were having coffee...I would tell you that I'm so happy at my new job. 4 weeks in and I still love it. I'm in an environment that is full of positivity and incredibly mission-driven and I'm so, so happy.

Fun fact: Abby was one of our wedding photographers! |

This was an old fitted sheet that ripped. I was saving it to make curtains or something. Now, it's the dog's. |
