Feeling... good. I got a 3 mile run in this morning...my third morning workout of the week. I've never been able to get into a routine of working out in the morning but this week, I've been on top of it. I ran this morning and on Tuesday and did yoga yesterday. I'll either run again tomorrow or do yoga. We'll see!
Reading... "Yes Please" by Amy Poehler. I've heard mixed reviews about this book..which I don't find too surprising (I really didn't like Bossypants) but I'm enjoying it. I love Amy Poehler and this book feels like she's sitting in my living room having a conversation with me. It rambles in places and jumps from one thing to the next but that's Amy!
Also Reading... This ESPN article that Theodora posted about 19-year-old University of Pennsylvania track athlete Madison Holleran who committed suicide last January. This story is riveting. It's about how we portray ourselves on social media. My heart aches for this poor girl's family, but this story is true of so many others and needs to be told. I'm considering writing a #LifeUnfiltered post of my own now.
Watching... "The Office." Oh man...I used to love that show. One of the things on my 25 Before 25 list was to binge watch "The Office." Season 3 is easily my favorite. Some of those one liners...I die. "Dwight! You ignorant slut!"
Thinking about... all of the things in my apartment that still haven't been unpacked. There isn't much, but we're 6 months in, they're still lingering and it's driving me crazy. I might need to take a day off just to tackle those things, since I've avoided doing it on the weekends...
Working on... some really exciting stuff at work. This week marked 5 months since I started my job and I love it. Things are really picking up in the best way possible.
Loving... these raw almond butter cups. I recently discovered that I don't actually like peanut butter, despite pretending to for years, (I know!) but almond butter? I LOVE. I found this recipe on Pinterest and made it as a sweet treat for The Pilot and I last week and they are one of the best things I've ever eaten. He loved them. I loved them. They were super easy. We were super happy. For the base, I did not use raw almonds or raw oats...I just used oat flour. I would also double the topping recipe. My base:topping ratio was a little off. They were still delicious. Go make them now.
Needing... to finish writing my Chicago training plan.
Grateful for... a husband who is willing to do doing the dishes. I hate doing the dishes. It is my least favorite chore. Sometimes, I'm super motivated about it...other times, not so much. We have a dollhouse sized dishwasher which makes things that much more complicated...then again, I remember when I didn't have a dishwasher so I guess I'm grateful for that too.
Excited about... wedding season. We're going to two weddings next month and I'm super excited about both of them! I remember everyone telling me that I would hate going to weddings after planning one. Everyone was wrong. I'm disappointed that we're only going to 3 weddings this year. Anyone have a wedding coming up? I know how to work a dance floor and I'm great with getting unwanted relatives away from you.
